AND WHILE I WAS TRACKING IT, I REALIZED SOMETHING: ALL CREATIVE WORK IS FUNDAMENTALLY THE SAME.

DIFFERENT MEDIUMS. SAME PROBLEM:
NOISE.
IN MUSIC, NOISE IS LITERAL. COMPETING FREQUENCIES. MUD IN THE LOW END. TOO MANY LAYERS FIGHTING FOR ATTENTION.
IN BUSINESS, NOISE IS STRATEGIC. TOO MANY OFFERS. TOO MANY POSTS. TOO MANY OPINIONS. NOT ENOUGH CLARITY.
IN STORYTELLING, NOISE IS EMOTIONAL. WHAT DO WE SAY? WHAT DO WE LEAVE OUT? WHAT ACTUALLY MATTERS?
CREATIVE WORK IS NOT ABOUT ADDING MORE.
IT’S ABOUT ORGANIZING WHAT’S ALREADY THERE.
CHOOSING WHAT STAYS.
TURNING THE VOLUME DOWN ON WHAT DOESN’T.
LETTING THE SIGNAL RISE.
THAT’S WHY I SPREAD MY CREATIVE ENERGY WIDER THAN JUST MUSIC.
I’M NOT ADDICTED TO A MEDIUM.
I’M DRAWN TO THE PATTERN UNDERNEATH IT.
I LOVE DISCOVERING SIGNAL.
